Atletico Madrid reject a £110m bid for Joao Felix from Manchester United

Manchester United have made a mammoth bid for Portugal international Joao Felix. The Spanish capital side were quick to reject the bid with a no-sale stance.

Manchester United seem to think that they’re the force they once were. The club is deep in the rut, and instead of finding a way out, the club keeps digging deeper. The actions by the club would make a good comedy series as the lack of professionalism plus the apparent lack of ideas at the club is worth a laugh or two.

It seems John Murtough and his team wake up each morning and decide what joke they play on the unsuspecting United fans. The long-drawn attempt to sign Frenkie de Jong has gone stale, so the club is on to another one.

Failing to get several of their targets, the club has been bandying several rumours of targets that are almost impossible to achieve. They do not realize that no serious player would look at the mess at Old Trafford and decide to be a part of it. The latest joke is the bid for Atletico Madrid star Joao Felix. Los Rojiblancos have rejected a humongous offer from Manchester United for Joao Felix.

United make audacious bid for Joao Felix

Perhaps one day, John Murtough would wake up and decide to make a bid to buy the Santiago Bernabeu. It is not beyond the reach of dreams and seems to be the order of the day at Old Trafford. The quest for realistic targets seems to be anathema at United. The jokes keep writing themselves.

There are several rumours around Manchester United and the pursuit of reinforcements for the sinking club. The Red Devils have reportedly made an audacious bid for Portugal international Joao Felix. United submitted an offer worth £110m as the pursuit of reinforcements continues before deadline day.

Atletico Madrid have not given the bid much thought as reports claim the Spanish club rejected the offer from Manchester United. Perhaps the transfer window should close immediately to spare United fans the pain of being the butt of jokes and banter.

Atletico have no intentions to sell Joao Felix

Joao Felix arrived at the Wanda Metropolitano in 2019 for a hefty amount. Atletico Madrid paid Benfica €126 million (£113 million) to land the uprising star.

Atletico won’t let the Portugal international leave easily. They have made their stance clear that he is not for sale. The media in England seem to believe United have a chance to sign Felix.

Felix showed a shade of what he is made of when he scored in a pre-season friendly against Manchester United. Atletico have declared a no-sale stance for the forward, and only the £295m release clause in his contract could tempt the Spanish giants to sell. Even a desperate and plan-less United would baulk at the figure.

Joao Felix is also not interested in leaving the Spanish capital and is less inclined to join a side playing in the Europa League this season. Reports describe the Portuguese forward as happy with Los Rojiblancos. Felix is yet to justify the massive investment made on him by Atletico since they signed him three seasons ago and has a mission to accomplish.
