Real Madrid and Barcelona to Clash in America in the New Soccer Champions Tour

Real Madrid and Barcelona are set to meet in the United States for a renewal of hostilities in a neutral environment. This is made possible by the creation of a new pre-season tournament now known as the new Soccer Champions tour.

The inaugural edition of the new Soccer Champions’ tour will consist of teams like Guadalajara of Mexico, club America, Juventus, Chivas, Barcelona and European champions Real Madrid. This competition is set to take center stage in the United States of America.

Fans in the United States have started booking tickets and the competition is expected to create much buzz. Considering that three of the sides involved in this tournament were the spearheads of the failed European Super League, it would be interesting to see the aftermath of the tournament as well as the type of revenue it could generate.

Barcelona in particular, find themselves in a dire financial situation ahead of the summer transfer window and the extra revenue from such a competition will do them much good.

The Pre-Season Tournament will hold in July

The tournament is set to span for a duration of 8 days, from July 22nd -July 30th. The host cities of this event are Dallas, San Francisco, Las Vegas and Los Angeles The fast approaching tournament will see the return to the United States of the likes of Juventus who have not played there since 2018 and Real Madrid since 2019.

“AEG is excited to launch this unparalleled soccer tour as five of the most exceptional soccer clubs in the world return to the United States this summer,” said Tom Braun, AEG Senior Vice President of Soccer & Business Operations and Business Development.

“Following several years without seeing some of these teams in the United States, we are thrilled to provide the opportunity for soccer fans in the U.S. to once again watch their favourite European and Mexican clubs play in person.” Braun further enthused.

The tournament is also part of the initiative of bringing top European clubs to America to boost Tue sport in the nation. The United States is known to have a fertile ground for soccer but the sport has not thrived as much as some other sports in the country. This pre-season tournament will definitely bring some excitement to soccer fans around the country.
