Manchester United star could be on his way to PSG

Manchester United are locked in negotiations with European power house over the transfer of Jadon Sancho, who is about to get the move of his dreams.

After a falling out with manager Erik ten Hag, Sancho spent the second half of the previous campaign on loan at Borussia Dortmund. Sancho openly disagreed with his manager on social media after the Dutchman singled out his training efforts.

Since arriving at Old Trafford for £73 million in 2021, the England winger has been unable to maintain a regular spot in the squad. After a dismal stint back in England, it now appears like he may be heading for a permanent exit from the club.

Sancho to finally leave United?

The French publication Foot Mercato claims that Sancho is being discussed for a signing by Paris Saint-Germain. After losing Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid, the French powerhouses are trying to bolster their wide player option.

Sancho had a great season for Dortmund last year, and Manchester United is reportedly holding out for almost £42 million to let him go. It’s said that Sancho has already agreed personal terms waiting for the transfer.

Ten Hag recently revealed that there might be a route back for the star under his management, marking a significant turn in the story between him and Sancho:

“We had a good talk. Everyone can make mistakes. We’ve moved on. This club needs good players and one thing is for sure: Jadon is a very good player. It’s good to have Jadon back.”

Ten Hag’s remarks, in FourFourTwo’s views, might just be a component of the club’s bargaining tactic. After all, it’s more difficult to offload a player whose manager obviously doesn’t want him.

Good move for all parties involved

It’s understandable why PSG would be ready to take a chance on his acquisition after he performed so well for Dortmund, especially in the Champions League. Despite the financial difficulties, it is thought that BVB is interested in having the star resign. However, that might not be realistic due to the player’s financial demands.

Elsewhere, PSG are in need of firepower in attack after losing a mercurial player like Kylian Mbappe to Real Madrid this summer. Paying Sancho’s wages should come as no problem to the French giants while the Englishman could also thrive in a new environment looking for any form of spark.

Transfermarkt estimates Sancho’s value at €30m. 2026 is when his contract expires.
