Alisson bemoans Liverpool’s struggles after damning defeat to Wolves

Jurgen Klopp, and millions of Liverpool fans around the world have been shocked by the horrible, and humiliating performance of the team this season.

Watching his teammates crumble in their defeat to Wolves from his vantage point in the goal post has made Alisson hit out at his teammates with his call for them to “wake up” and “fight”.

Klopp’s Reds were once notorious for putting fear into opposing teams, but they’re now a ghost of that team, and look like they’re struggling to even recognize who they are on the field of play.

The game at Molineux has exposed the team to further criticism and pressure. Wolves could smell the lack of belief, and came out for a bite as they drew blood in the first half of the game.

Liverpool’s poor performance produced their third league defeat in a row, an unwanted record that is sure to get everyone feeling down, as it hasn’t happened since 2012, and now The Reds look like they’ll be walking alone down the table to find redemption.

Allison slams Liverpool players as woeful form continues

After the game, Liverpool’s Brazilian star keeper, Alisson, spoke to the press about his teams terribly bad form, and current woes. He claims that they have themselves to blame for the terrible errors that have cost them games like the sloppy errors against Wolves. It’s clear he believes nothing will change if they don’t stop making silly mistakes at the back.

Alisson said: “Sometimes in football you make mistakes and you get punished. We did that again and again. Two mistakes, two goals at the beginning of the game. We are making things hard for ourselves. After that we did a great second half. We could have done better on the third goal but it is a good moment from the opponent.

“I think everyone believes they are capable of doing these things it is that you have to fight for that. A game of 90+ minutes you have to do it consistently for the whole game. We showed today you can get punished for 15 minutes and that’s what happened to us. We have the same players who achieved so many great things at this club and we are not performing well. It’s difficult to say why.

“I don’t know what we need to happen to us to wake up. We come here, say we have to believe in ourselves but we don’t act like that on the pitch or deserve that. Again, we have to put this behind us and take strength from ourselves and families to bounce back.

“I’m not saying I don’t trust we can’t bounce back. I’m just so disappointed about tonight’s game. We have to keep working.”

He also said: “We are not in the situation where we are confident, that confident to come back, but we tried. We did a good second half and then we concede again: you don’t score and you concede again, so it’s completely frustrating from my side.”

Alisson’s call to his teammates to get them out of their heads, put the bad run of form behind them, work hard to avoid silly mistakes, and continue fighting for better results may be able to save them from further sliding down the table, and save their season from total disaster.
