Alexis Mac Allister declares his position on Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool transfer links

Several reports link Alexis Mac Allister to Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.  The Argentine midfielder is not keen to leave Brighton despite the interest in his services.

The World Cup is usually a hunting ground for prospective players by clubs. The Qatar edition of the tournament was no different, as many players shone and glistened in the spotlight made available by the Middle Eastern country. New talents displayed their wares before the world leaving several clubs in a mad scramble for their signatures.

One of the fallouts of the World Cup in Qatar is the signing of Cody Gakpo by Liverpool. Manchester United had been on the trail of the Dutchman before the tournament, but their lackadaisical approach to the transfer saw Liverpool trump them to the player.

Gakpo announced himself to the world when he scored in each of the Netherlands’ first three matches.

Alexis Mac Allister is another talent whose abilities were under the radar. The success of Argentina at the World Cup threw him into the spotlight, with several top clubs in a rush to get him to sign for them. The Argentine midfielder has reacted to the reports of leaving his current club, Brighton & Hove Albion.

Mac Allister not in a rush to leave Brighton

Alexis Mac Allister is the toast of the moment. Despite glory going to Lionel Messi for Argentina’s success, the real heroes have started receiving their due attention. Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool are on the trail of Mac Allister, with the midfielder in a dilemma over the recent interest in his services.

The midfielder has made it plain he is in no rush to leave the Seagulls. The midfielder, who had a fantastic World Cup with Argentina, is the target of several top clubs, including Arsenal, Chelsea and Liverpool.

Other clubs interested in his services include Manchester United, Tottenham, Juventus and Barcelona. They all face the challenge of convincing the player and the club to sell the player. It is no surprise that Brighton is not interested in parting with their star player. Mac Allister returned to the Amex on Monday with much applause from his teammates and club staff.

Mac Allister speaks on a potential move

The race is on to sign Mac Allister from Brighton, but it is not as easy as envisaged. The 24-year-old midfielder spoke about the transfer news surrounding him. It is not what interested parties want to hear.

Mac Allister told Sky Sports that he is focused on Brighton and happy at the Amex stadium. According to the Argentine, he enjoys every day at the club. He continued that the club knows how grateful he is to them and is in no rush to leave.

The statements by Mac Allister would have gladdened the hierarchy at Brighton, who are also uninterested in selling their star player. Mac Allister also said he is focused on the club and would continue to do his best.

Brighton are currently 10th in the Premier League table, with a trip to Goodison Park on Tuesday.

Mac Allister arrived at the Amex stadium in 2019 for £11 million, playing 89 times for the East Sussex side. He has a contract that runs till 2025.
