Pogba remains determined to return to football

Paul Pogba has expressed his continued ambition to play professional football again, despite not having joined a new club since his contract with Juventus ended by mutual agreement nearly six months ago.

The French midfielder shared a video message on Instagram, reassuring supporters that he is still committed to making a comeback. “This is just a quick note to show I’m still hungry,” Pogba said. “I’ve kept training alone, never quitting, and always working toward my goals.”

He also offered words of encouragement to fans going through tough times, urging them to keep pushing even when results are delayed. “It could happen tomorrow, next year, or in two years,” he added. “But what’s meant to be will happen.”

Career setbacks and limited appearances

Pogba’s return to Juventus never took off as expected, with a series of obstacles disrupting his time back in Turin. An 18-month suspension, following a doping case that was initially set at four years, was upheld last October. Not long after, Juventus and Pogba decided to part ways.

Injuries also played a major role in limiting his time on the pitch. After leaving Manchester United in 2022, Pogba made just 12 appearances over nearly three seasons. A knee problem delayed his second Juventus debut by half a year, and disciplinary action by then-manager Massimiliano Allegri led to him being sidelined.

His only start in his second stint with the Italian club came in May 2023, but he was forced off the field just 23 minutes into the match due to injury. His final appearance for Juventus came as a substitute in a Serie A fixture against Empoli in September 2023.

Next move remains uncertain

Now 32, Pogba is without a club, though speculation about his future continues. He has been linked to both his former team, Manchester United and Marseille, which would mark his first professional spell in France. However, time spent recently in Miami has fueled rumors of a potential move to Major League Soccer.

The Saudi Pro League has also emerged as a likely destination, given its appeal to high-profile players in recent years. Despite the uncertainty, Pogba’s message made clear that he has not given up hope of playing again, leaving fans waiting to see what his next chapter will be.
