Victor Osimhen has finally opened up about the social media post that caused him and Napoli’s fanbase to be at loggerheads in the past week.
The social media admin of the three-time Italian Serie A champions made two mocking posts on video sharing app TikTok after Osimhen missed a penalty in Napoli’s Serie A game against Bologna.
The post was not well received by the Nigerian striker and his fans, who accused the club of racism towards their national team ace. Osimhen, meanwhile, reacted by removing every likeness of Napoli from his social media, leading to the club’s fans reacting negatively.

“I have a lot of friends who are Neapolitans and have become part of my family and everyday life. I appreciate Nigerians and everyone for lending their voices to support and reach out to me.
