Strand Larsen’s Goal Earns Wolves Draw

Wolves kicked off with a promising start as Hwang Hee-chan capitalized on a defensive lapse by Tottenham to slot a precise shot into the bottom corner. The unmarked forward found space at the edge of the box following a quick free-kick, leaving the Spurs’ defense flat-footed.

However, the lead was short-lived. Tottenham responded swiftly, with Rodrigo Bentancur expertly heading in Pedro Porro’s corner. The midfielder’s effort powered past Jose Sa, bringing the game level and setting the tone for an end-to-end encounter.

Missed Opportunities for Spurs

Spurs had a golden opportunity to take the lead when Brennan Johnson was brought down in the box. Son Heung-min stepped up for the penalty, but Jose Sa read his intentions and made a crucial save, keeping Wolves in the game. Despite the missed chance, Tottenham’s attack continued to press forward.

Dejan Kulusevski and Johnson combined neatly inside Wolves’ penalty area, with Johnson unleashing a low shot that tested the home side’s resilience. Tottenham created further chances to edge ahead, but wastefulness in front of goal proved costly. Kulusevski failed to capitalize on a clear run, while Dominic Solanke narrowly missed Timo Werner’s inviting cross.

Strand Larsen Rescues Wolves Late On

Despite Tottenham’s dominance, Wolves stayed within striking distance. Their persistence paid off in the dying moments when substitute Jorgen Strand Larsen produced a moment of brilliance. His fierce, angled shot beat Fraser Forster at the near post, leveling the score with just minutes left on the clock.

Tottenham threw everything forward during 11 minutes of added time but failed to find the winning goal. The draw capped a frustrating December for Spurs, who managed only five points from a possible 21, while Wolves celebrated another resilient performance under Vitor Pereira’s guidance.
