The son of Manchester United, Real Madrid, and England legend David Beckham is seeing his career blossom. The 20-year-old made a temporary move to England to further his football career. He recently signed with Brentford B side on a deal that keeps him with the Young Bees till the end of the season.
Romeo spoke with the official website of Brentford after the move and said he is proud and happy to join them. According to Romeo, he came to Brentford to keep fit during the off-season, but the chance came to join them on loan, and he grabbed it. Romeo said is so excited.
The son of the Manchester United legend continued that it was a fun season in the USA. Romeo said there were several ups and downs, but he is excited to come to England and see what he can do.
Romeo currently plays for the development side of Inter Miami, Inter Miami II. At the American club, the young Beckham has built his experience in the MLS Next Pro.
A budding career in the United States
Last season, Romeo hit ten assists and two goals to lead the assists chart in the league. Inter Miami II finished sixth in the Eastern Conference.
The young Beckham also spent time with Arsenal academy as a youngster and has been training with Brentford since the conclusion of the MLS Next Pro season.
During the time training with Brentford, he made an impression, with the B team boss Neil McFarlane expressing his delight at his performance.
McFarlane said he loves the standards of the young man and the way he conducts himself on and off the pitch. McFarlane also claims Romeo has attained higher fitness levels since joining the side. He posited that it leaves him in a solid place to step forward.
He praised his technical ability saying he could shift the ball quickly and cross. He concluded that Romeo is a solid finisher and can play several positions.
