Ballon d’Or winner and former Real Madrid striker Ronaldo Nazario has admitted that he would love to see Erling Haaland join up with Kylian Mbappe and Jude Bellingham at Real Madrid for next season.
Los Blancos are making moves to create their Galacticos squad of the early 2000s which had the likes of Ronaldo, Luis Figo, Zinedine Zidane, David Beckham, Raul, Michael Owen and others.
They currently have Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr., Rodrygo Goes, Eduardo Camavinga and Aurelien Tchouameni. They are now working on Mbappe – which is almost done according to reports – and Alphonso Davies. Reports also indicate that they are monitoring Phil Foden, currently of Manchester City.
These brilliant young players are each worth more than €80 million on the transfer market. The prices do not bother the club, led by President Florentino Perez. They also somehow manage to be within the fair play rules and regulations despite spending huge sums on player acquisition and wages.
Ronaldo, a former Galactico, is pleased with how the club is learning from their mistakes with his Galactios set. He then suggested they bring in Erling Haaland, stating that it would be a ‘crazy’ addition to the team.
In an interview with the Daily Mail, the businessman said, “Real Madrid’s policy is to have the best players in the world. Haaland is one of the best players in the world. Everyone wants to have Haaland. He is at an unbelievable club. City are doing an amazing job, I think he is very happy there at the moment. But, we will see. I hope we can see all of those players together in the one club.”
“It will remind me of the Galacticos if they all [Haaland, Mbappe and Bellingham] do end up at Real Madrid. If it happens [them all signing for Real Madrid], it’s going to be crazy. Watching Real Madrid playing with all of those players together. It will be an unbelievable team that will achieve remarkable things.”
“But I think it’s going to be a great challenge for Carlo Ancelotti to manage all of those players. But, putting good players together is easier than putting bad players together. It won’t be too much of a problem for the coach.”
Haaland has not hit the ground running in his second Premier League season. He is still the highest goalscorer of any player in English clubs, however. Madrid have also not hidden their adoration for Haaland and tried to get him in the past.
These comments from their former striker could reignite their desire to bring the Norwegian in and complete their 2020s Galactico class.
