Revitalized in Rossoneri: Pulisic’s AC Milan Journey

Christian Pulisic, the 25-year-old American winger, has undergone significant growth since his transfer to AC Milan last summer. Joining the Rossoneri for a reported fee of approximately €20 million, Pulisic swiftly established himself as a key player under the management of Stefano Pioli.

Embracing Opportunities in Milan

In a recent interview with ESPN, Pulisic reflected on his progression since his arrival at Milan, acknowledging the challenges posed by Serie A football. He expressed surprise at the intensity of the league’s matches but credited his development to the opportunities provided by the Milan coaching staff. Pulisic highlighted the freedom and creative role afforded to him on the pitch, which has played a significant role in rebuilding his self-belief and confidence.

One of the main hurdles Pulisic identified in his adaptation to Italian football is the language barrier, admitting that not speaking Italian fluently has been challenging. Even these obstacles did not stop Pulisic from excelling on the football field, showing how versatile he is in an attacking position for Milan.

Struggles at Chelsea and Revival at Milan

Pulisic’s journey to success in Serie A follows a challenging stint at Chelsea, where he encountered difficulties in fully realizing his potential. Hindered by injuries and what he perceived as a lack of trust from his coaches, Pulisic faced setbacks during his time in West London. Despite emerging as a promising talent during his tenure at Borussia Dortmund, Pulisic found it challenging to make his mark at Chelsea.

Since making the switch to AC Milan, Pulisic has undergone a remarkable rejuvenation, finding his rhythm amidst regular game time and a nurturing atmosphere. Flourishing in the Rossoneri setup, his standout displays not only cement his significance within the team but also ignite hope within the United States national squad as they gear up for the forthcoming North American World Cup in 2026.
