Premier League clubs vie for Borussia Dortmund Julian Brandt

Reports from Bild suggest that two Premier League clubs, Newcastle and Arsenal, have expressed significant interest in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Julian Brandt. It is believed that Borussia Dortmund could entertain offers in the range of €50 million for the player. Arsenal has been a long-time admirer of Brandt, while Newcastle’s interest heightened after his standout performance against them in the Champions League.

Winter Move Unlikely Despite Interest

Despite the interest from Newcastle and Arsenal, a winter move for Julian Brandt appears improbable. Dortmund’s sporting director, Sebastian Kehl, emphasized the player’s importance to the team, citing the extension of Brandt’s contract until 2026 in April. Kehl stated in a recent interview with Bild, “It’s not for nothing that we only extended the long-term deal with Julian Brandt until 2026. He is a very important part of our team. That’s why changing is not an issue at all!”

Brandt’s Key Role in Dortmund and Potential Impact of Departure

Julian Brandt has emerged as one of Dortmund’s most influential players in the current season, contributing six goals and five assists in various competitions. Alongside goalkeeper Gregor Kobel, Brandt has played a crucial role in unlocking the quality in Dortmund’s gameplay.
