Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang mulls Chelsea exit despite a solid start to life at the Bridge

Pierre-Emerick Abamenyang appears to be interested in leaving Chelsea at the end of the season. Reports suggest that PSG are keen on signing the 33-year-old striker.

Chelsea are back to winning ways after recording three wins on the trot for the first time this season. Back-to-back wins in the Premier League hems a Champions League victory over AC Milan midweek. It marks a fantastic start to Graham Potter’s start to life at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea struggled to sign players in the summer and had to sack its Champions League-winning manager Thomas Tuchel early in the season. The players that arrived in the summer include Kalidou Koulibaly, Raheem Sterling and a last-minute signing of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.

While Potter is still thinking of ways to solidify the team for the future, new problems are on the horizon. Aubameyang appears to have settled in well at Chelsea and has scored a couple of goals for the Stamford Bridge side, but the Gabon striker might be mulling an exit from the club. Speculations already surround his future at the west London side.

Is Aubameyang seeking an out from Chelsea?

Former Arsenal forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang returned to London this summer after spending about half a season at Barcelona. The striker has barely settled at Stamford Bridge, but rumours are already swirling over his future at the club. Two months into his stay at Chelsea, reports suggest the Gabon international already thinks of a summer move from the west London club.

Aubameyang looked to be on course for a lengthy stay at the Nou Camp, but it was cut short by the arrival and brilliant form of Robert Lewandowski. The Polish striker led Barcelona into ending the stay of Aubameyang at the club as they sold him to Chelsea for £10 million on deadline day.

Aubameyang, who enjoyed a good relationship with Thomas Tuchel at Borussia Dortmund, may be unsettled by the sack of the German tactician. He has coped well under Graham Potter with a couple of goals for Chelsea. The performance of the former Dortmund striker has not stopped the rumours of a possible departure in the summer.

Aubameyang: To be or not to be

Despite the recently found form of Chelsea, Aubameyang has somehow managed to steal the headlines. Talks have centred around his immediate future at the club, with French publication Foot Mercato claiming the 33-year-old is already thinking of leaving Stamford Bridge next summer. According to the publication, Christophe Galtier is keen on bringing the Gabon striker to Paris Saint-Germain.

According to Foot Mercato, the Paris club has already contacted Aubameyang and his representatives to gauge his willingness to switch to the Parc des Princes. The French publication suggests Aubameyang has always been keen on playing for the Paris club, and a move to PSG would see him reunite with his old Saint-Etienne boss – Galtier.

The move to Chelsea was a reunion with his former manager at Borussia Dortmund – Thomas Tuchel. It didn’t pan out as expected, with the sack of the German manager. Graham Potter has done well to quell any talk of exile for the former Gunners striker under his management. Despite the assurances and Aubameyang being the fulcrum of the Chelsea attack, it still appears the Gabon international is keen on a summer move.
