Neymar sends Richarlison £26,000 to remove his face from back tattoo

Tottenham Hotspur forward Richarlison has reportedly received £26,000 from Brazil teammate Neymar to remove the Paris Saint-Germain man’s face from his commemorative back tattoo.

Richarlison scored three goals for Brazil as they made it all the way to the quarter final stage of the ongoing 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. Two of his three goals are contenders for the goal of the tournament, making it a successful outing for the former Watford man on a personal level.

The 26-year-old decided to commemorate his first World Cup with a huge back tattoo of himself, the Brazil flag, a sketch of his younger self looking over his hometown, a few scribbles of some names that mean a lot to him, and the faces of two of his favourite players: Ronaldo De Lima and his current teammate, Neymar.

He shared a snapshot of it on his social media pages to mixed reactions from fans. One fan commented, “Did you guys see richarlison’s tattoo? Why did he tattoo Neymar? The Ronaldo? The flag of Brazil? HIMSELF?”

Another shared his amusement at the “awful” tattoo. “The tattoo turned out awful but I still think Neymar is looking even worse. By the way, this is Richarlison’s back lmao he’s the one who got the tattoo.”

Globo Sport now reports that Neymar, who is still smarting from the hurt of being knocked out of the tournament on penalties to Croatia after his goal gave them a lifeline, is not impressed by the tattoo.

The Brazilian outfit has also claimed that Neymar has sent Richarlison a whopping sum of £26,000 to take his face off the tattoo.

Fans are divided but Neymar’s reported actions show how much he wished to have won the tournament. Richarlison also went into the tournament hoping to help Neymar achieve his dream but his very impressive performance could not do much to change the course of the events that took place.

Spurs, meanwhile, will have to find a way to play without Richarlison for the next month as the forward was reported to have aggravated an injury which he picked up in the round of 16 against South Korea.

The Brazil squad kept it under wraps but after 84 minutes of going against Croatia in the quarter finals, Richarlison was subbed off and the resulting tests after their elimination showed that his hamstring would need some care.

Antonio Conte faces an uphill battle to replace the Brazilian, who has not played much for his side since joining in the summer due to the same injury problems.
