Müller and Dier farewell victory

Bayern Munich wrapped up their Bundesliga season with a convincing 4-0 victory at Hoffenheim, marking the end of an era for long-serving forward Thomas Muller. The 35-year-old veteran featured in his final match for the club, bringing his total Bundesliga appearances to 503 — placing him 12th on the league’s all-time list. Although Muller didn’t find the net in his farewell outing, he received a warm send-off when replaced by Harry Kane after 60 minutes.

The seasoned German leaves Bayern after securing 13 league titles and two Champions League trophies, having dedicated his entire professional career to the Munich side. Fellow outgoing player Eric Dier, who joined Bayern from Tottenham, also made his final appearance before departing for Monaco on a free transfer this summer.

Olise sets the tone, Kane closes the show

Michael Olise opened the scoring in the 33rd minute with a well-placed free-kick that curled over the wall and crept inside the near post. Hoffenheim’s Andrej Kramaric, who has scored more goals against Bayern than any active Bundesliga player, squandered a clear opportunity when through on goal early in the second half, failing to beat Manuel Neuer.

Shortly after that miss, Bayern doubled their lead through Joshua Kimmich, whose close-range shot took a deflection and beat Oliver Baumann. Serge Gnabry added a third goal with a low effort from outside the box before Harry Kane capped the result, netting his 26th Bundesliga goal of the campaign.

Bayern dominate, Hoffenheim survive

Leroy Sane came off the bench late in the game amid uncertainty about his future at the club. Bayern, who had already secured the league title, finished the season 13 points ahead of second-placed Bayer Leverkusen.

Despite the heavy home loss, Hoffenheim avoided slipping into the relegation play-off zone, thanks to Heidenheim’s defeat against Werder Bremen on the final day.
