Milan eye Tillman as Reijnders close to City move

Tijjani Reijnders is on the brink of becoming a Manchester City player, with medical tests scheduled to take place on Sunday. The midfielder has been granted permission to temporarily leave the Netherlands national team camp to complete the required examinations. This was confirmed by Netherlands coach Ronald Koeman during a press conference.

The transfer, which has been widely reported as agreed, is said to be worth approximately €75 million, including potential performance-based bonuses. With the deal nearly finalized, Reijnders’ time at Milan appears to be coming to a close after just one season.

Milan’s midfield search turns to Malik Tillman

As Milan prepares for life without Reijnders, attention has shifted to the transfer market to identify a suitable replacement. While Luka Modric remains linked with a potential move on a free transfer, the club is also evaluating younger options. According to MilanPress.it, one of the most serious targets under consideration is Malik Tillman of PSV Eindhoven.

Tillman, who only recently celebrated his 23rd birthday, has drawn attention for his performances in the Eredivisie. The midfielder began his career in the Bayern Munich academy system and had a stint with Glasgow Rangers before making a permanent move to PSV for a total of €13 million. His recent development has made him one of the more intriguing midfielders in Dutch football.

USMNT star could join Pulisic and Musah at San Siro

Though born and raised in Germany, Tillman holds U.S. citizenship and has become a regular fixture with the United States Men’s National Team, earning 17 international caps so far. A transfer to Milan would see him reunite with his USMNT teammates Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah, both of whom joined the club in 2023.

Reports suggest PSV are asking for a fee in the range of €25 to €30 million for Tillman. However, Milan are not alone in their interest. Serie A rivals Roma, as well as Bundesliga side Bayer Leverkusen, are also keeping close tabs on the midfielder’s situation, potentially setting up a competitive race for his signature.
