Juventus have reached an agreement to end the contract of Aaron Ramsey

It is official as Aaron Ramsey and Juventus have parted ways in what seemed to be an end to a very long saga. The Italian giants terminated the contract of the 32-year-old Welshman, as the player never seemed really at home with the Club.

After arriving on a free transfer three years ago, he was far from his best and didn’t settle rightly at the club. Despite the fact that he joined from Arsenal with a big reputation on his shoulders, Ramsey featured in less than 50 total games for the Turin based side, which is a low number even for him.

He was loaned out to Rangers with a possibility to buy but the Scottish club decided not to trigger the clause and keep him at the club. He featured in the Europa League final and lost the decisive penalty that saw his team miss out on the trophy.

Ramsey was amongst Juventus’ highest-paid players and it was no surprise that they would look to move on from the Welshman soon enough. The 32-year-old still looks like he has something left in the tank but his Italian adventure is now offer and he is back available as a free agent once again.

What next for Ramsey?

Although the case is different with his national team Wales, as he is considered a very important part of the squad alongside former Madrid player Gareth Bale. Ramsey could be in the Premier League again with a host of clubs interested in him this summer.

New boys Nottingham Forest would be looking to add to an already large squad in their bid to escape the drop to lower-tier football next season. He could be on his way to joining Jesse Lingard as one of the squad’s high-profile signings this summer. Everton and Wolves showed solid interest in signing in him in the past and could be looking to do that again.

Aaron Ramsey played an integral part in Arsene Wenger’s squad when he was in charge of Arsenal as that spell saw him win three FA Cups.

There is talk of interest from MLS sides, as players in their latter years are now usually targeted by the American league but it seems like Ramsey would rather remain in Europe.

Given the experience on his hands and his proven nature in the Premier League, he would come as a shrewd addition for Nottingham Forest, whose first mission after gaining promotion will be to retain their status for the first season.

Nothing is clear on the player’s future at the moment but with domestic seasons just days away, we could see a swift decision made on his next destination.
