Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham has made a decision over his future at the German club.
Bellingham moved to Dortmund in 2020 after breaking through at Birmingham City as one of England’s most promising young midfielders. He has since found success at the German giants, breaking into the England Three Lions setup and also becoming a key part of Dortmund’s team.
His talents have stood out even more and just as it was while he was at Birmingham, Premier League clubs have continued to express an interest in the 18-year-old.
Liverpool and Manchester United are the clubs currently in a race to sign the midfielder. His current contract at Dortmund runs up in 2025, however, the young midfielder is reported to have made a decision on his Dortmund future.
Bellingham plans to stay put at Dortmund for at least one more season, according to The Metro. Bellingham, who has six goals and 10 assists so far this season in all competitions, is keen on continuing his development in Germany until at least June of 2023.
The former Birmingham City prodigy has been among the star performers under Marco Rose this season – but his frustrations have got the better of him on a few occasions when the team fails to achieve certain objectives.
Those outbursts led to rumours that the 18-year-old is willing to leave Germany at the end of the season but the latest reports have quashed those rumours.

Borussia Dortmund continues to be one of the biggest clubs in Germany, however, this season has seen them struggle quite a bit in the league and in other competitions.
First, they lost the DFL-Supercup to Bayern Munich and then they were knocked out of the DFB-Pokal by FC Saint Pauli. Their most recent embarrassment came in the UEFA Europa League when Scottish club Glasgow Rangers beat them by an aggregate score of 6-4.
Rangers took it to the BVB in the first leg of the tie, running out 4-2 victors on the night. In the second leg, Dortmund managed a 2-2 draw to save face but it was not enough to keep them in the competition.
Bellingham raised eyebrows when a video of him cussing at teammate Nico Schulz for a misplaced pass went viral. Borussia Dortmund manager Marco Rose spoke to the media to explain Bellingham’s actions.
“Where Jude comes from, you possibly speak a bit more rough in English. That’s part of it,” he said.
“Jude wants to win, he’s angry and that’s part of him as a player.
“It’s something we actually need more of at Dortmund.”
