Joao Felix breaks silence since failed United interest
Following the failure of Manchester United to sign Portugal international Joao Felix, the forward has maintained silence on why he is still an Atletico Madrid player. There have been rumours surrounding the player’s position on the failed transfer, but Felix opened up recently in an interview with Marca.
In the wide-ranging interview, Felix told Marca that he didn’t hear anything and it was something for the president to handle. According to the 23-year-old, what matters is that he is currently with the Colchoneros.
Felix added that he feels good and is confident. Felix was asked about his goal contribution to the team, and the Portuguese said he works to score goals, and the team helps him. Felix hopes that the relationship continues. He said he feels he ought to do everything to help the club and the team.
Joao Felix said he would try and show his worth to the team, and if his teammates see him as a leader, things would work better. Felix believes that with these ingredients, the team would be more connected.

Felix is yet to score this season. He has made five appearances but has racked up a hat-trick of assists for the Spanish club in La Liga. He pulled off the feat in their recent 3-0 victory over Getafe, earning him the man of the match. The Portugal international insists that his lack of goals is not a worry for him. Felix has been entrusted with a more important role in the team.
