Javier Tebas: LaLiga will become better with Kylian Mbappe

LaLiga president Javier Tebas is excited about the prospect of Kylian Mbappe joining Real Madrid in the summer and is looking forward to another era of stars.

Tebas was chairman when Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo peaked before they both left LaLiga. In his opinion, the league has not been the same since both men left, despite having the likes of Jude Bellingham, Pedri, Gavi, Luka Modric, Toni Kroos, Vinicius Jr and Antoine Griezmann in the league.

The Spanish top flight boss has always tried to present the league as the best whenever he talks to the media. He has been buoyed by the realisation that Mbappe could join Madrid in the summer and is not hiding his excitement.

Mbappe’s camp and Real Madrid remain in talks, with an agreement expected to be finalised in the coming weeks. Tebas claims to have full details of the ongoing talks and posited that the deal between Mbappe and Madrid is “99.9 percent done”.

“I have the feeling that he has signed. If it’s said by those who usually have the closest information to Florentino Pérez, then I believe it. There’s a 99.9% chance”, Tebas said.

“We will have one of the best players in the world, although we also already have Bellingham, Vinicius, Griezmann at Atleti, Lewandowski at Barcelona. We’re going to be the most star-studded league in the world.”

Reports also claim that Ethan will be coming along with his brother Kylian to Real Madrid.

Ethan Mbappe, 17, has featured mostly for the PSG under-19 team and has made a handful of appearances alongside his older brother in the first team. Like his brother, he is out this a contract at the end of the season.

Mbappe is planning to get his brother to join him at the Santiago Bernabeu. However, reports state that Ethan will play with Real Madrid Castilla first before making the occasional first team matchday squad.

Alphonso Davies could join them as Madrid are also readying a €35 million for the Canadian left-back. The Bayern Munich man is out of a contract next season and is weighing his options. Madrid could give him a way out.

Other clubs are interested in the player though, which means Madrid could enter into a bidding war for one of the best fullbacks in the world.

This way, Tebas’ dream of an all-star league will have come to pass.
