Harry Kane seeking Spurs return

Harry Kane has found that the grass is not greener in Munich and is looking to return to Tottenham Hotspur in the summer, according to reports.

The 30-year-old joined German giants Bayern Munich in the summer of 2023 as a direct replacement for Robert Lewandowski. The Bavarians let the Poland international leave in 2022 after eight years of incredible service, but they only replaced him in 2023 after spending one year looking for the perfect fit.

Kane is that perfect fit and has more than repaid their trust in him. The England captain also had his own ambitions to fulfil, top of which was winning a trophy. He had failed to do that with Spurs despite winning multiple golden boots and player of the year awards in the club.

Bayern are serial winners and with Kane, were poised to keep their winning streak going. However, things have gone very differently at the club. For Kane, however, it is a familiar feeling.

Everyone has taken the blame as to why Bayern are struggling right now. Kane, having done more than what he was expected, has been exonerated, but will still feel a big lump in his throat.

Thomas Tuchel has already been fired as a result of Bayern’s struggles with his exit to be made official on the last day of the season. Kane may be following suit, with Spurs his preferred destination.

Kane expressed sadness over Tuchel leaving the club recently, saying, “The club made a decision. We players have to show our responsibility to the manager, our responsibility to the club, to give everything we have for the season.”

“Of course we have sadness because he’s a top manager and a really good guy. The club made a decision to part ways in the summer and that’s football.”

“From a player’s point of view we owe a responsibility to the coach, the team, the coach to fight for every point this season and that’s what we’ll do. We’ve got good characters. That’s all we can do, keep working, keep pushing.”

Should Kane return to Spurs or any other Premier League club, he will have the opportunity to beat Alan Shearer’s all-time Premier League goalscoring record.

Kane is behind the legendary Newcastle United man with 47 goals on the Premier League’s list of all-time goalscorers. He’s already earned many individual accolades but this one will cement his status as an all-time great in English football.

This report, however, is unconfirmed but gives credence to the news from the grapevine that Kane is indeed unhappy about how the season is going at Bayern.
