Denmark international Christian Eriksen has completed a transfer to Wolfsburg following his departure from Manchester United at the end of the previous campaign.
The 33-year-old midfielder has agreed to a contract with the German club that will run until the summer of 2027.
Eriksen had been training with Swedish outfit Malmo after becoming a free agent earlier this year.
Time at Manchester United
During his stay at Old Trafford, Eriksen featured in 107 matches and found the net eight times over three seasons.
He played a part in Manchester United’s success, contributing to their Carabao Cup victory in 2023 and their FA Cup triumph in 2024.
Looking ahead to new challenge
“Wolfsburg is my first team in the Bundesliga, and I’m excited about this new chapter. I believe we can accomplish something together,” Eriksen stated.
He explained that Wolfsburg boss Paul Simonis had presented a clear plan for both the squad and his own role.
Eriksen added that the presence of several teammates from Denmark’s national side made joining Wolfsburg even more appealing.
The experienced playmaker has previously represented Brentford, Inter Milan, Tottenham, and Ajax and famously survived a cardiac arrest during Euro 2020.
