With the sacking of Mauricio Pochettino and the hiring of Christophe Galtier, PSG have been working hard to bring in quality players. Negotiations with Valencia over the signing of midfielder Carlos Soler are almost complete. The Spanish club have agreed with PSG to sell the midfielder for around €20m (£17.2m/$20m). Soler will sign a deal with PSG that runs till 2027.
According to Fabrizio Romano, the deal is complete. The player and the club are in agreement over the move. PSG accelerated negotiations for the former Valencia youth player. The transfer window will shut in a couple of days, and the Paris giants want to complete all arrangements on time.
Advisor to the sporting management, Luis Ocampos worked on the Soler deal and ensured the Spanish player arrived in the French capital. Soler will sign for the next five seasons.
Valencia stood a chance of making a solid financial profit on the player but opted to sell the midfielder immediately as he could leave for free from next January. Soler’s contract was due to expire in 2023. Valencia are financially hamstrung and in dire need of cash. It is why they agreed to a cut-down price for the midfielder.
PSG have eyes on other targets
