Arteta Strives for Arsenal to Lead in All Areas

Arteta viewed Berbatov’s comparison as a “big compliment” but underscored that Arsenal’s aspirations stretch beyond excelling at set-pieces. Arteta declared during a press conference on Friday. He highlighted the desire for his side to dominate all aspects of the game, including high pressing, attacking in open play, and building the best matchday atmosphere in football.

These goals brought Arsenal’s total from corners this season to 22, the highest across Europe’s top five leagues and five more than any other team. Former Premier League forward Dimitar Berbatov compared Arsenal’s set-piece success to that of Stoke City, who were renowned for their strength in this area during their time in the top flight.

“We Want to Be the Best at Everything”

Arteta viewed Berbatov’s comparison as a positive acknowledgment of Arsenal’s improvement. “I see it as a big compliment,” the Arsenal boss said on Friday.

“We want to be the best at everything: set-pieces, pressing, attacking in open spaces, even the atmosphere in the stadium,” Arteta stated. He reflected on how the club had faced criticism in the past for struggling to score and for underperforming in significant matches, adding that his goal is to erase those doubts and make Arsenal leaders in every category.

Arsenal’s Recent Success and Injury Boost

Arsenal’s win over Manchester United extended their streak to four consecutive victories, narrowing the gap to Premier League leaders Liverpool to seven points. With confidence high, the team will visit Fulham on Sunday as they aim to maintain their momentum.

In addition to their strong form, Arsenal will benefit from the return of defenders Gabriel and Riccardo Calafiori, who were unavailable for the midweek match. Arteta’s vision of Arsenal as “kings of everything” continues to inspire his team as they look to dominate every aspect of the game this season.
