Arsenal closely monitor potential transfer of Premier League forward

Pedro Neto will have to be medically assessed as Arsenal decides whether to pursue the wolves forward, according to FootballTransfers.

The winger has been under Arsenal’s radar for a while, and Mikel Arteta is reportedly incredibly fond of him.

Wolves told Arsenal in January that they would not sell him for less than £80 million; however, sources close to the Gunners now claim the valuation is £43 million. To ascertain Neto’s fitness and long-term viability, Arteta is currently awaiting the most recent information on him.

However, given his history of injuries, the Gunners are wary of pursuing a transaction without first conducting a full data assessment.

Should the Portugal international be assessed well, Arsenal may move more quickly to sign him. His inclusion is believed to add vigour to Arteta’s offensive options, maybe balancing out players like Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka.

Arsenal have other alternatives if Neto’s move fails

Arsenal will turn to other targets if Neto’s medical update causes them to have worries. The Spanish international winger Nico Williams, who is also admired by Chelsea, is on the shortlist of forwards the team is targeting.

Williams, who has a €55 million (£46.5 million) release clause in his contract, has drawn the attention of Arsenal after making 37 appearances last season and scoring eight (8) goals and dishing out nineteen (19) assists.

The Neto data update is essential to Arsenal’s summer transfer plan. It will have a big impact on their choice of winger that they purchase.

Neto scored two goals in 20 Premier League matches during the 2023/2024 season, with one goal at home and one away. He averages 0.12 goals per 90 minutes. Additionally, Neto had a total of 11 goal contributions last season, resulting in him being amongst the most wanted Premier League players this summer.

In addition, Neto contributed to 11 goals last season, making him one of the Premier League’s most sought-after players this summer.

To go with, Arsenal lacked an able replacements for several key players, notably Bukayo Saka and a player like Pedro Neto could come in and fill that void. It does remain to be seen if the Gunners would be eager to splash such an amount on the Wolves star, with other positions needing to be strengthened as well.
