Andreas Christensen annoyed at Jude Bellingham’s strong start with Real Madrid

Barcelona star Andreas Christensen admits the consistent form of Real Madrid star, Jude Bellingham, has been rather frustrating to watch, adding that he is starting to lose count of how many goals the England international has scored.

Bellingham has enjoyed a brilliant start to life in La Liga after completing a big-money transfer from Borussia Dortmund in the summer window.

The 20-year-old has already hit double digits for Los Blancos, scoring 10 goals in his first 10 appearances for the Spanish giants. Playing in a free advanced role, he has also created three assists for his team-mates.

Madrid lead the way in La Liga, having won eight of their first nine fixtures. Unbeaten rivals Barcelona are three points behind but are wary of Bellingham’s form.

Former Chelsea defender Christensen has revealed he finds it frustrating to see Bellingham on the scoresheet in every single game. The Dane says the Real midfielder has already ‘conquered’ Spanish football.

Christensen has lost count of Bellingham’s goals

“The beginning of Bellingham for Madrid? It’s annoying when you sit down and look at the results and see what you’re getting,” Christensen told TV2Sport. “He has been scoring in the last games almost always and deciding games. I don’t know how many goals he has scored anymore.

“He has conquered La Liga in these first matches. It is true that Madrid has ended up signing a great player who can be decisive in many games.”

It comes after Madrid winger Vinicius Jr also disclosed that he messaged Bellingham for months on social media, pleading with him to come to the Spanish capital. The Englishman had interest from other top European clubs, including Liverpool, but decided to move to the Bernabeu early in the summer window.

Vinicius has opened up on playing his part in the role: “We’re so happy he signed – I had been texting him for months!” the Brazilian told L’Equipe.

“I said: ‘This is the best team in the world’. I knew other teams wanted him. [Real Madrid chief scout] Juni Calafat has become a friend and he knows that if I can give a little help, I will.”

“I did the same with Cama [Eduardo Camavinga]. I was sending him messages, he came and won the Champions League. Hopefully it will be the same for Jude.”
