Abraham in Talks with West Ham After Roma Offer

Tammy Abraham is in discussions with West Ham United over his salary demands as the East London club looks to secure a deal with the Roma striker. After West Ham recently submitted a formal offer for the forward, talks have now shifted towards personal terms between the player and the Premier League side. Abraham, who currently holds a lucrative contract at Roma, is presenting challenges in negotiations for West Ham, who are hoping to finalize a suitable agreement.

Roma Open to Lower Offers, West Ham Closing In

Roma are reportedly open to selling Abraham for a fee near €30 million, though they may accept offers starting around €25 million with additional performance-based bonuses. While the precise details of West Ham’s proposal remain under wraps, Gianluca Di Marzio has revealed that the offer is close to meeting Roma’s valuation. With the transfer fee negotiations nearing completion, focus has now shifted to reaching a consensus on the striker’s wage package.

Injury Setback and Reduced Role at Roma

Abraham was previously linked with a return to Aston Villa, but a cruciate ligament injury sustained on the final day of the 2022-23 season halted those talks. Although the Englishman has since regained fitness, he has found his opportunities limited under manager Daniele De Rossi following the arrival of Artem Dovbyk from Girona, who joined the Italian club for an initial €30.5 million. As a result, Abraham has slipped further down the pecking order at the Stadio Olimpico.

Roma Eyeing Replacements Amid Abraham Exit Talks

Should Roma agree to part ways with Abraham this summer, the club has already identified potential replacements. They are reportedly exploring deals for Napoli’s versatile forward Cyril Ngonge and Gent’s promising young winger Matias Fernandez-Pardo, as they look to reshape their attacking options for the upcoming season.
