Jackson’s agent denies Bayern exit rumours

Nicolas Jackson’s move to Bayern Munich has been scrutinised heavily in both Germany and England, and with talks over his future taking over the media, his agent has spoken out.

Diomansy Kamara, who represents the Senegal international, spoke after the comments emerged. Kamara posted on Instagram: “Many speak, but few tell the truth. That’s not the topic today. Our only priority is Senegal’s decisive match for World Cup qualification.

“This is a crucial moment for the entire nation. Our journey, our ethics, and our way of working are well known: first as footballers and now as advisors to African players.

“It’s time for a united front. The rest will be dealt with later, at the appropriate time. End of story.”

His comments were in response to Uli Hoeneß, former Bayern Munich striker and honorary club resident, who went to the media to speak on the move. Hoeneß said: “It’s not a €16.5m loan fee, because the player and his agent are contributing €3m, so that leaves €13.5m.

“There will definitely not be a permanent contract. That only happens if he plays 40 games from the start. He will never do that.”

Meanwhile, Jackson is looking forward to his new challenge to play alongside Harry Kane, and has expressed thanks to Chelsea for his time – which seems to be over – at the club. “[There were] very strong emotions, but not for the reasons you might think,” he said.

“I was simply very happy to sign for one of the biggest clubs in the world, to discover another league and other great players. At the same time, I was a little sad to leave Chelsea, my teammates, and the fans.”

“Football is full of cycles. I respect Maresca, I learned a lot from him, he has his own ideas and style. I have no regrets, just gratitude for my time at Chelsea.”

Chelsea’s next challenge is against Brentford in the Premier League at the weekend, after which they will begin their UEFA Champions League glory hunt with a trip away to Bayern Munich, where they will be reunited with Jackson. The Senegalese striker will surely be looking forward to playing against his former teammates and to show the fans what he can really do.

He has a huge task ahead of him, however, as England skipper Harry Kane, who is also one of the best strikers in the world, continues to be the number one at the club.
