Chelsea Rejects Swap Deal, Lukaku and Osimhen Negotiations Ongoing

Chelsea FC has taken a clear stance regarding their two star strikers, treating Romelu Lukaku and Victor Osimhen as distinct transactions in ongoing negotiations. According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, the Premier League club remains resistant to the idea of a swap deal involving both forwards, despite the interest from Napoli. While Lukaku is no longer part of Chelsea’s long-term plans, the club is unwilling to let him depart on loan.

Reports from Sky Sport Italia earlier in the week suggested that Napoli had tabled an offer worth €30 million, including bonuses, for the Belgian striker. However, Chelsea is holding firm on their valuation, reportedly seeking a sum closer to €43 million before considering a sale.

Napoli in Personal Agreement with Lukaku, But Chelsea Talks Continue

Romano has confirmed that Napoli have already reached personal terms with Lukaku, indicating that the Serie A club is eager to secure his services. However, discussions between Chelsea and Napoli over the transfer fee have yet to be finalized. This has slowed down any potential deal, as both clubs are still trying to bridge the gap between the offers and demands on the table.

Meanwhile, Chelsea remains open to selling Lukaku outright but is holding out for the right offer, a stance that has put Napoli’s bid into a state of uncertainty.

Osimhen Unwilling to Leave on Loan, Chelsea Explore New Approach

As for Victor Osimhen, Napoli’s star forward has expressed a desire to leave the club but is firm in his refusal to depart on a temporary deal or to accept a reduced salary. Chelsea has reignited their interest in the Nigerian international, although their current strategy seems focused on a loan arrangement.

Osimhen, however, remains insistent that any move away from the Stadio Maradona should be a permanent one, as he is not keen on accepting a short-term option. Napoli, for their part, have yet to be swayed in their efforts to retain their prized forward unless a concrete proposal meets their expectations.

The closing days of the transfer window could see further developments as negotiations remain active on both fronts.
