Fulham FC won the 2021/22 Skybet Championship to secure promotion to the Premier League and fans of the most watched league in the world are wondering what they have in stock for the new season.
Their poor track record in the Premier League since the start of the 2010s does not inspire much confidence in the team among neutrals, but they will be fielding a couple of players who could take the League by storm.
Aleksandar Mitrovic will be leading the line for the club after breaking the Championship goal-scoring record with 43 goals in the 44 games he played.
The following are the players aside from the Serbian who fans should look out for from the Cottagers ahead of the new Premier League season.
Rodrigo Muniz
21-year-old Rodrigo Muniz joined Fulham last season from Brazilian club Flamengo and scored five goals from 25 league appearances.
His performances in those games showed that he could be the perfect replacement for Fabio Carvalho, who would have made this list but signed for Liverpool just after their promotion.
Having joined the Cottagers while the season started, some time to work with his new teammates in pre-season under manager Marco Silva will help him get more in sync as he looks to build on his debut season.
Harry Wilson
Harry Wilson is no stranger to the Premier League having played 35 games for AFC Bournemouth in the league back in the 2019/20 season.
He was one of the Cherries best players in that season but his performances were not enough to stop them from getting relegated. But since switching to Craven Cottage during the summer transfer window of 2021, he has been a revelation.
The Wales international was the club’s joint-second highest goalscorer and overall best player, registering 10 goals and 20 assists in 41 league appearances as they won the Championship title.
He will be burning with a need to prove himself at the highest level next season in the Premier League which makes him a player to watch out for.
Tyrese Francois
21-year-old Tyrese Francois is a Fulham academy graduate who made two appearances for the first team last season. He is not likely to go straight into the starting lineup but he has already shown promise as a solid squad player for the side.
Making the jump to the Premier League at 21 will also help him get exposed to top talents and help his development.
Tosin Adarabioyo
The former Manchester City defender is on the fringes of the England Three Lions setup due to his impressive performances for Fulham in the Championship last season.
He held the fort alongside Tim Team as they conceded only 43 goals in 46 Championship games. He also contributed two goals and two assists as they walked away with the title.
He will be going up against some of the world’s best attackers in the Premier League next season and is a defender to watch next season.
