According to latest reports coming in after Leeds United lost 4-0 to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League on Saturday, Marcelo Bielsa has left his role as manager to be replaced by former Red Bull Leipzig boss Jesse Marsch.
Marcelo Bielsa has overseen a poor run of form at Elland Road in the 2021/22 season and the club has now decided to part ways with the manager who helped stabilise the club over the past four seasons.
Leeds secured promotion to the championship and to the Premier League under Bielsa’s tutelage. However, since coming to the Premier League, the Argentine manager has found life difficult.
Injuries prevented the club from reaching its full potential in the 2020/21 season but Bielsa managed to help the club finish in ninth place.
This season, the same injury concerns have continued but unfortunately the club have been unable to replicate their form from last season.
The 4-0 loss to Spurs at Elland Road seems to be the last straw for the club, who have reportedly decided to part ways with the 66-year-old for American manager Jesse Marsch.
