777 Partners’ Takeover: Everton FC’s New Ownership Era Begins

In a remarkable twist in the realm of football club ownership, Everton FC has announced a monumental shift as 777 Partners inked an agreement to acquire the complete ownership stake held by Farhad Moshiri. Moshiri, the club’s majority shareholder since 2018, was in possession of a substantial 94.1% of the club’s shares.

This transformative handover now ushers Everton into the ambit of 777 Football Group, an entity already comprising a constellation of esteemed football franchises, including Italy’s Serie A side Genoa, Spain’s Sevilla da Gama, Germany’s 2. Bundesliga club Hertha BSC, Belgian heavyweights Standard de Liege, France’s Red Star FC, Brazil’s Vasco da Gama, and Australia’s Melbourne Victory FC.

777 Partners’ Vision for Everton’s Future

Founder and Managing Partner of 777 Partners, Josh Wander, conveyed his profound enthusiasm for this groundbreaking development at Everton. He remarked, “We are profoundly honored by the prospect of joining the Everton family as custodians of the Club, a privilege that allows us to build upon its storied heritage and cherished values. Our foremost objective is to collaborate closely with the fans and stakeholders to evolve the sporting and commercial infrastructure for both the men’s and women’s teams, securing tangible results for the forthcoming generations of Everton supporters.

In line with this commitment, we pledge to form enduring partnerships with the local community. This encompasses pivotal initiatives such as the remarkable transformation of Bramley-Moore Dock into a globally renowned stadium venue, a project that not only promises to expand the number of Evertonians witnessing home matches but also promises to be a catalyst for the economic and cultural renaissance of Merseyside.”

A New Horizon for Everton

As the baton of ownership is passed, Everton FC enters a new era marked by fresh possibilities and endeavors. Meanwhile, the anticipation builds as Everton prepares to welcome Mikel Arteta’s Arsenal to the hallowed grounds of Goodison Park in an upcoming fixture. Historically, the Toffees have held their own against the Gunners, with Arsenal failing to clinch all three points during their Merseyside visits since 2017. This intriguing development adds an element of intrigue to the upcoming clash, as Everton seeks to continue its successful streak against Arsenal, under its new custodians, in the seasons to come.
