PSG offer Kylian Mbappe new contract details amid transfer saga

Paris Saint-Germain have reportedly made fresh offer for a new contract to Kylian Mbappe despite being linked to a transfer to Liverpool.

Mbappe’s name has frequently headlined to be a target for Liverpool ever since his early days at Monaco. The French striker joined PSG instead in the summer of 2017 for a reported huge fee of £166 million.

However his name hasn’t left the mouth of reporters as he gets linked away from Parc de Princes, despite being one of the main protagonist at the Ligue 1. The last 12 months have been increasing speculations of a possible transfer for the French international.

Real Madrid and Liverpool are the two teams that are still being mentioned as potential suitors for Mbappe. The PSG striker has reportedly received a contract offer, according to French reports.

Journalist Daniel Riolo of RMC Sport claims that Mbappe is expected to receive contract offers from both PSG and Real Madrid. It has been reported, nevertheless, that PSG’s offer is substantially more profitable than what Madrid is reportedly willing to spend.

According to the source, PSG’s offer will “far exceed” Mbappe’s yearly wage of €100 million (£86.15 million). In contrast, it is said that Madrid is offering €30 million (£26.84 million).

Liverpool are not included amongst the report, even if the Anfield team is still a subject of rumours regarding Mbappe’s possible next destination. Saudi Arabia expressed interest in the 2022 World Cup golden boot winner throughout the summer, but no deal came through, and he continued to play for PSG in France.

Since Mbappe’s current contract is slated to expire at the end of the current campaign, he can freely sign a pre-contract agreement for the summer with clubs outside of France. Even though Mbappe is nearing the end of his contract, there is currently no indication that he will be departing PSG any time soon.

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez was recently quizzed about the possibility of bringing the PSG forward to the Santiago Bernabeu in the summer. However, the president of the La Liga giants responded and said he doesn’t want to discuss the matter.

“Real Madrid to sign Kylian Mbappe? After Real Madrid beat Barcelona to win the Spanish Super Cup on Sunday, Perez told reporters, “This is not the day to comment on that topic. Real Madrid are enjoying these players.”

It won’t be the first time PSG and Mbappe have a transfer saga but it would be interesting to see how it all plays out this time around.
