Paris Saint-Germain Closes In on Randal Kolo Muani Transfer: Negotiations with Eintracht Frankfurt Await

In the midst of a bustling transfer window in the latter half of August, Paris Saint-Germain is making notable strides. Following the departure of Neymar to Al-Hilal in Saudi Arabia and the acquisition of Ousmane Dembélé, PSG is now on the verge of securing Randal Kolo Muani. An accord has been reached between the player and PSG officials, marking a significant step forward. However, the key hurdle that remains is convincing Eintracht Frankfurt to part ways with their prized striker.

French outlet Foot Mercato confirmed the removal of impediments to the transfer between Kolo Muani and Paris Saint-Germain. While PSG’s financial prowess, bolstered by Qatari backing, could potentially facilitate negotiations, the extent of Eintracht Frankfurt’s demands remains uncertain. Notably, Frankfurt had acquired Kolo Muani on a free transfer merely a year ago, making this impending move all the more intriguing.

PSG’s Impending Offer and Frankfurt’s Counterplay

The impending offer from PSG to Eintracht Frankfurt for Kolo Muani is rumored to be around seventy million euros, excluding potential bonuses. This substantial bid is anticipated to be dispatched to the Bundesliga outfit in the coming hours, enabling PSG to reinvest a significant portion of the funds acquired from Neymar’s departure. This financial maneuver underscores PSG’s intent to bolster its squad further.

In an interesting development, Luis Campos, PSG’s sporting director, initially intended to include Hugo Ekitike as part of the offer to Eintracht Frankfurt. However, Ekitike, a former player of Stade de Reims, declined to be part of this exchange. As negotiations progress, Frankfurt might be inclined to escalate their demands, potentially nearing the hundred-million-euro mark.

Should this transfer transpire, it would signal a stark contrast to the previous season when PSG did not express interest in Randal Kolo Muani. Despite his contract with FC Nantes nearing its end, PSG did not pursue the player. A year later, Kolo Muani could potentially make his return to Ligue 1, with a price tag of several tens of millions of euros attached to his name.
