England defender Kyle Walker has announced his retirement from international football after earning 96 caps for England national football team.
Walker, who featured in five major tournaments since making his tournament debut at UEFA Euro 2016, leaves the national side after helping England reach two major finals.
The experienced right-back was part of the England squad that finished runners-up at UEFA Euro 2020 and again at UEFA Euro 2024, playing a key role in England’s defensive setup over several international campaigns.
Walker confirmed that he will now focus on his club career, stepping away from international duty after more than a decade representing his country.
The 34-year-old has been regarded as one of England’s most reliable defenders, known for his pace, defensive awareness and experience on the international stage.
