Real Madrid are already building for the 2024/25 season according to reports from Spanish journalists.
Veteran midfielder Luka Modric looks to be in his last few months as a Real Madrid player with there being no indication that the club will be keeping him for another year.
That veteran role is being prepared for Toni Kroos, who will deputise and provide experienced on-field mentoring for Jude Bellingham, Aurelien Tchouameni, Eduardo Camavinga, Federico Valverde, Nico Paz and Arda Guler.
Kroos, who had once stated that he would like to retire at 32, recently came out to state that he is falling more in love with the sport and wants to keep going. Madrid are pleased with his football and ready to make him the “big man” in a squad of youngsters they are grooming for the next decade.
Brazilian teenage sensation Endrick will be joining the club in the summer after his signing was confirmed during the 2022/23 season. He will join his fellow Brazilians Vinicius Jnr and Rodrygo, who will be part of an attack that will be led by Kylian Mbappe.
After failing to bring him to the club two seasons ago, the 25-year-old Frenchman has now expressed his intention to leave Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the current season. His destination is Santiago Bernabeu as reports claim that he has signed a five-year contract which will take effect from June 2024. Their four-man attack base will also be supported by Bellingham, who has been used as a forward for most of the ongoing season.
Madrid are also attentive to the situation of Alphonso Davies of Bayern Munich, whose contract at the German club runs out in 18 months. The Canadian is believed to be uninterested in continuing at Bayern after five seasons and Madrid have set aside €45 million to sign him. However, the player and his representatives were seen in Barcelona’s offices discussing a transfer, which means there will be an El Clasico battle for his signature if he chooses to call it quits on his time at Bayern in the summer.
Carlo Ancelotti will remain as the club’s manager and they will also look for options in their goalkeeping department, with Kepa Arrizabalaga set to return to Chelsea and Andriy Lunin uncertain about remaining Thibaut Courtois’ backup due to the Ukrainian’s ambitions.
Madrid are currently at the top of LaLiga with 65 points, eight more than second-placed Barcelona and nine more than third-placed Girona, who could reduce the gap to six if they win their game on Monday at Rayo Vallecano.
